"It does not require many words to speak the truth."

First Nations, Metis & Inuit

For many Indigenous people, wellness is deeply connected to relationship—family, community, land, culture, and spirit. Counselling can be a place to feel supported with respect and dignity, without having to explain or defend your experience. I work with humility and care, with a focus on trust and genuine connection.

How it can show up

You might be navigating things like:

  • Grief and loss—including deaths, family loss, and major life changes

  • Trauma—including personal experiences and intergenerational trauma

  • Substance use—or the impacts of addiction in your life or family

  • Stress, anxiety, and low mood

I don’t approach this work as “fixing” people. I’ll listen first, learn what matters to you, and work at a pace that feels safe—grounded in respect, care, and genuine connection.

How this can show up internally

These experiences can touch more than thoughts—they can affect your body, emotions, spirit, and sense of connection. In counselling, we can take a whole-person approach: listening carefully to what you’re carrying, what’s helped you survive, and what supports you as you move toward more steadiness.

What you can expect

Expect a warm, steady approach that moves at a pace that feels safe. We’ll focus on what feels most important to you, build practical ways of coping, and create space for support and healing that fits real life. If there are cultural values, supports, or practices that matter to you, you’re welcome to bring them into the space, and we can shape the counselling process in a way that feels meaningful.

How we’ll work together

  • Start with what you’re facing right now and what support you want

  • Make space for your story and what you’ve carried

  • Explore patterns and themes with care, including how they show up in the body

  • Strengthen coping, grounding, and steadiness in daily life

  • Shape the process around your values, supports, and what feels meaningful

Let's take the next step.
